Service

Our scholarship pillar focuses on professional development and academics. We hold study groups, network with alumnae, and hold professional workshops. Sisters are also offered several scholarships recognizing their excellence in academics.

Sigma Alpha provides engaging

leadership opportunities to enhance

and improve our leadership skills that

are useful in professional careers and collegiate extracurricular activities. We offer 14 different leadership positions and encourage sisters to take on other leadership roles outside of the sorority.

Sigma Alpha sisters are actively

engaged in the community. The

national service project is Ag-in-the-

community. This allows members to

give back to their community and

share the importance of agriculture.

Our fellowship pillar focuses on the bonds of sisterhood, which is important to us since we all have a common love for agriculture. Our social chair works hard to plan events such as semi formals, emerald ball, and networking with other organizations.

The objective of Sigma Alpha shall be to promote its members in all facets of agriculture and to strengthen the bonds of friendship among them. It is the purpose of the members to strive for achievement in scholarship, leadership, service, and to further the development of excellence in women pursuing careers in agriculture.

To be the foremost organization fostering academic excellence and professional development while encouraging networking and lifelong bonds for women leading the agricultural industry. We strive to build diversity by marketing our organization on an international level.
