What is Sigma Alpha?
Sigma Alpha is a professional agricultural sorority for women. We are located at Virginia Tech.
How are we different from other sororities?
We are part of the Professional Fraternity Association. The Pi chapter does not own a house and our dues are much lower than Panhellenic organizations. We do not not participate in Virginia Tech's greek formal rush. Instead, we hold a recruitment week once a semester for anyone interested where you get to meet the sisters and learn about the sorority. All of our sisters share a love for agriculture, which allows us to creates lifelong friendships among us.
Is Sigma Alpha a good fit for you?
Do you have an interest in agriculture? Do you want to join an organization that provides professional development to be successful in your career? Are you searching for a sisterhood outside of the traditional greek system? Do you want to build friendships that will last a lifetime? If you answered yes to any of these questions, Sigma Alpha may be the place for you. Fill out the contact sheet below to get in touch with us!
Do we do anything besides professional events?

Our philanthropy is Feeding America SouthWest Virginia. Our sisters enjoying hanging out with each other, mixers, hiking, holding fundraisers, volunteering, working out together, and much more!
